Andrew Stanton is a filmmaker, animator, screenwriter, producer, and voice actor who has been central to Pixar Animation Studios since joining in 1990. He holds a BFA in Character Animation from California Institute of the Arts, where he completed student films that laid the foundation for his narrative approach. As Vice President, Creative at Pixar, he oversees the development of both feature films and short films. His working method involves deep involvement in story development, combining co-writing, storyboarding, and iteration through a collaborative “braintrust” process. Stanton has shifted from animator and screenwriter to director and studio creative leader, moving between animation and live-action.
