Biography

Scott Burrell was a member of the University of Connecticut Huskie men's basketball teams which first started pushing the school and their coach, Jim Calhoun, into the national college basketball spotlight. In his four years at the school located in Storrs, Connecticut, Burrell notched up 1562 points, 750 rebounds, 310 steals, 293 assists and 129 blocked shots. Scott was drafted in the first round of the 1993 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets, at the #20 position. He played eight years in the NBA for Charlotte, the Golden State Warriors, the Chicago Bulls (where he earned an NBA championship ring in 1998) and the New Jersey Nets. In 383 career games, Scott wound up with averages of 6.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
