Biography

Byron Browne was born in Camden, New Jersey in 1970. His father, Byron Browne Sr., played Major League Baseball for 8 years with the Chicago Cubs, Houston Astros, St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies from 1965-1980. His mother, Chiquita Browne, was a top fashion model in the late 70s and early 80s. She was represented by Wilhelamina Talent Agency and Ford models in New York City and at times was roommates with Iman and Beverly Johnson. They were all featured in Ebony Magazine as top models of the future. Has a son named Merek. Browne attended Central H.S. in St. Joseph, Missouri and was drafted in the 13th round by the Milwaukee Brewers in 1991 as a Starting Pitcher. He played professionally for 9 seasons in the Brewers farm system. His career highlight was getting called up to the Big Leagues in 1994 from the AA champions El Paso Diablos to go immediately on strike during the 1994 MLB season which was canceled after failed negotiations between the Players Union and Owners.
