Biography

Indie rock singer/songwriter Cary Brothers was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. Brothers played piano from ages eleven to thirteen before switching to the guitar. Cary first met actor/writer/director Zach Braff while attending Northwestern University in the 90's. Following graduation from college both Cary and Braff moved to Los Angeles, California. Brothers began performing around Los Angeles at such venues as the Hotel Cafe and made a big splash in 2004 with the beautifully moving ballad "Blue Eyes," which was featured on the soundtrack to Braff's acclaimed independent picture "Garden State." Cary's debut EP CD "All the Rage" sold over 10,000 copies. Brothers released the follow-up EP CD "Waiting for Your Letter" in 2005. His songs have been featured on the soundtracks to the movies "Noel," "Sky High," "SherryBaby," and "The Last Kiss," plus episodes of the TV shows "One Tree Hill," "Kylie XY," "Eli Stone," "Grey's Anatomy," "Hidden Palms," "Bones," and "Scrubs" (Cary also ap
