Biography
Born deaf, she was a founding member of the National Theater of the Deaf in 1963. In 1974, she received the AMITA--the Italian-American Award for her work on television. Best known for playing Linda on Sesame Street (1969) for over 20 years--the longest-running role on American television for a person with a differing ability.
