Mayim Bialik

Mayim Bialik is an American actress and neuroscientist whose career began in childhood with television appearances. She earned a B.Sc. in neuroscience (with minors in Hebrew and Jewish studies) from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and later completed a Ph.D. in neuroscience, focusing her doctoral research on behaviors associated with a genetic disorder. After a period devoted to academic formation, she returned to screen work, integrating her scientific background with acting. Across television and film, Bialik has combined on-camera performance with voice work, approaching roles with an awareness informed by her studies.
