Biography

Born and raised in Richmond Virginia, Tom made his professional stage debut at age 17 as Touchstone in Theater IV's "As You Like It" at the Swift Creek Mill Playhouse under the direction of his high school drama coach Bruce Miller. Upon graduating from the Collegiate School he attended East Carolina University where he majored in history and political science. While there he became one of the founders of the ECU Lacrosse Club, the Epsilon Alpha chapter of Beta Theta Pi fraternity and was also member of the Rugby Club and a Gold Jacket member of the East Carolina Ambassadors. He became involved in the theater department under Edgar Loessin playing Mr. Loach in "The National Health" and Mr. Dankle in "Marathon 33". Somehow, he managed to graduate and due to his stellar academics was only able to find a job working in his family's clothing business.
