Ilya Movshovich

Ilya Movshovich was born on January 8, 1981 in Leningrad, USSR as Ilya Aleksandr Movshovich. Immigrated to the United States in 1989. The 1990s Post-Soviet aliyah began in late 1980s when the government of Mikhail Gorbachev opened the borders of the USSR and allowed Jews to leave the country for Israel. Ilya's parents chose their destination to be Silicon Valley, United States of America, where Ilya Movshovich grew up. Ilya Movshovich started a startup called CARMAnation in 2013. The business eventually grew to become the leading parking sharing platform in the United States. Ilya became known for his involvement in the Bay Area communities, and mentoring startups within the technology sector that bring benefits to the people within them. He has a large established, and well respected network of many Silicon Valley investors, founders, entrepreneurs, and community leaders which he opens up to ventures and causes he supports and invests in.
