Biography

Versatile London born actor and musician Maxine Cunliffe has lived in New Zealand since the early 2000s. She took exams in speech and drama from a young age and her first appearance as a youthful performer was for the 70s TV series, The Troubleshooters/The Mogul, filmed at Ealing Studios. Maxine studied music, majoring in cello solo and ensemble performance at Trinity College of Music, London. As a mature student she followed this with an MA in French, Language and Media from The University of Brighton. In New Zealand she has studied Michael Chekov Technique with Elena Stejko. Maxine is perhaps best known on screen for Power Rangers Megaforce (2013), and short films Divinity (2015) Reset (2016), Fract (2016) and The Man Downstairs (2020). In 2016 Maxine also appeared as a presenter in TV ONE's Neighbourhood. Maxine will be appearing in the Amazon Studios series The Lord of the Rings, currently in production in New Zealand.
