Biography

Taylor James Barrett was born in Invercargill, Southland, New Zealand in 1992. He attended Southland Boys High School (2004-2010) with the intention to pursue rugby, that was until he discovered acting. Taylor played roles in the school plays and community shows before being selected to take part in the 2010 New Zealand Young Shakespeare Company that performed 'Macbeth' at the Globe Theatre in London, England. At 18 years old Taylor was invited to Toi Whakaari - NZ Drama School where he graduated with a Bachelor of Performing Arts. His first professional acting job was 'Punk Rock' by Simon Stephens at the Fortune Theatre in Dunedin, NZ - where he received favorable reviews as Bully boy Bennett Francis. Taylor was then cast as the lovable drunk Kerrisk Redington in Dean Parkers 'Polo' with Auckland Theatre Company. American hit TV Show 'Ash Vs Evil Dead' followed next which was Taylor's first taste of TV playing the delinquent Tyler, followed by supporting roles in other popular televis
