Biography

Thomas Ebert was born 1961 in Monterrey, Mexico to German parents. He began stage-acting at the age of 16, and for more than 40 years has acted in many plays, some of them under the leadership of well-known Mexican directors, such as the late Martín Aguirre, Sergio Rod, Juan Carlos Franco, and the Spanish stage-director Héctor Dugó. His film debut came in 1984 with the large American production "Dune" by David Lynch, mainly filmed in Mexico, where he played a minor role. It was followed a few years later by small parts in Paul Verhoeven's "Total Recall", "The Arrival" by David Twohy, the acclaimed film "Frida" by Julie Taymor, and Bruce Beresford's "Pancho Villa - Mexican Outlaw", all of them also filmed in Mexico City and surroundings.
