Biography

Marianne Chase is an actress and filmmaker. She writes, directs, produces and stars in her own comedy sketches and short films, as well as working collaboratively with others. She began her career as an actress, appearing in the uncredited role of Rionach O'Neal, a Gryffindor Chaser, in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. She continued to work on the rest of the Harry Potter series, most memorably as one half of the 'Kissing Couple' in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. She went on to land roles in Rough Haired Pointer's stage production of The Young Visiters and experimental short, TopShop Returns. She received a classical training in Acting and Directing at GFCA London under the renowned acting tutelage of Christopher Fettes, Sue Dunderdale and Giles Foreman. It was following a painful experience, where she was ghosted by a date, that she was moved to begin writing her own, original material.
