Christopher Van Escobar

Christopher Van Escobar (born Christopher Robert Escobar) is an actor and producer known for The Originals, Him + Her, and Strife. He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on June 21st, 1989 to Carlos Escobar, an immigrant from El Salvador, and Kimberly Van Hoesen, who met when they were mechanical engineering students at Lehigh University. At the age of five, his family moved to Georgia, where he was raised in the suburbs north of Atlanta. During primary school, he played many sports, including baseball, basketball, football, and soccer. In college, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia. After college, he got a job as a pizza cook in Atlanta. He moved to Japan for a short while during the winter of 2012, where he taught English. When he came back to the states, he continued to work in the food service industry, moving to Asheville, North Carolina.
