Katy O'Brian

Katy O’Brian, of African-American and European-American descent, began martial arts at age 5 and earned a brown belt in Shorei Goju Ryu by 9. At Indiana University Bloomington, she studied psychology and Germanic studies, earned a black belt in hapkido, and trained as a cadet officer. After graduation, she worked seven years as a police officer in Carmel, Indiana, specializing in crisis intervention. She also competed in bodybuilding and trained in acting. In 2016, O’Brian moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting, teaching self-defense at UCLA and training in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. She appeared in The Walking Dead, Z Nation, Black Lightning, Westworld, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and played Elia Kane in The Mandalorian. In 2023, she starred as Jentorra in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. In 2024, she appeared in Love Lies Bleeding opposite Kristen Stewart, and joined Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning (2025) as a Navy diver.
