Biography

Ilana Zackon is a trilingual Canadian actor, singer, writer and director. She is best known for her work as the female lead in Tuque Games' Livelock, as well the title role in the educational game for children, Mazaam - The Musical Genius. Ilana has performed on stages across Canada, as well as in Edinburgh and New York City. She was nominated for an Ovation Award in the Outstanding "Online Content" category, for her musical parody "I Just Can't Wait to Be Free". Born in Toronto, Ontario and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Ilana began performing at the age of three. She made her stage debut at the Saidye Bronfman Centre for the Arts and was consistently involved in the local community theatre scene, throughout her childhood. A pension for creation and direction, Ilana would often be the ringleader in creating performances, with her siblings and cousins, to put on for their family and friends.
