Biography

Chris Hayzel is an American Composer, Songwriter, and Artist. The son of Fame's Nia Peeples and Shalamar's Howard Hewett, Chris grew up surrounded by music and the arts and gravitated toward them at a young age. After releasing a number of records with different bands and traveling the world playing and sharing music Chris was presented an opportunity to provide the original score for the 2013 ESPN 30 for 30 Documentary "Hawaiian: The Legend of Eddie Aikau", which later went on to become an Emmy Award Winning film. "Hawaiian" showcased Chris' ability to communicate a Director's unique emotional intention and communicate it into a sonic landscape. Soon after Chris was signed on to provide original scores for a handful of other films and TV shows including ESPN's mini series "Big Wave Hellmen" and Robin Wright's short film "The Dark Of Night".
