Biography

Shanea Strachan, was born Shanea Abriel Strachan in Freeport, Bahamas on September 13, 1991. A performer since childhood, she started ballet at the young age of 5. Shanea was born a gifted poet and writer and began writing at the age of 8. Her roots in entertainment started out in music. Throughout her childhood into her teenage years she performed in several girl groups including a Female Rap Group with her childhood best friend. Shanea's childhood dream was Acting and at the age of 11, she taught herself how to screen write. In High School Shanea was heavily involved in the Drama Club and in 2008, she took the lead as Merline Evans in Freeport Players Guild's Production of Telcine Turner's 'Woman Take Two'. High School also nurtured Shanea's love for Filmmaking. During her senior year, with just a camcorder and several friends, she directed and produced her first short film, 'Bad Bet' which she created to raise awareness for Teenage Pregnancy.
