Silawn Lewis

Silawn Lewis was born in New York City and spent her formative years living in the Bronx, New York and East Orange, New Jersey. As a child, she spent hours in her bedroom glued to the television during every spare moment. A year after graduating high school, she enlisted in the U.S. Army. After returning to New Jersey from permanent party in Germany, she worked a 9-5 job, while she simultaneously attended college, majoring in computer science. One day during her second semester, she passed the television studio and instantly knew she had to switch majors and follow her passion. After she completed the semester, she transferred to another school to study television production. Upon graduating, she started her career on the technical side, working as a camera person and audio/video editor for a top New York City advertising agency. She later moved to Atlanta where she worked at a local television station as a master control operator, as well as a studio camera person for two live music
