Biography

Harvey Morris, President and CEO of Tuff Stuff Productions, is an Emmy Award winning producer, songwriter, vocal arranger, professional drummer an actor and videographer. His extensive and diversified experience has contributed to his reputation as a consummate professional in the entertainment industry. He is making history with his hair-raising remake of the most iconic song in the history of African-American culture, The Negro National Anthem, "Lift Every Voice and Sing." Harvey was born in the Bronx of New York City. His parents recognized his joy for music early and purchased his first drum set when he was just 2 years old to keep him from banging on their pots and pans. At age 4, Harvey and his cousins would sing and dance at family gatherings to the sounds of Motown and Stay Records. By then, it was clear to Harvey's family that he was destined to become an entertainer. He grew up in a household with God-fearing grandparents and attended the St. Luke A.M.E. Church in Harlem. W
