Biography

Three time World Fest Award winner, Valeria Dominguez, is a student filmmaker and actress. Valeria began making films in high school at The Guthrie Center Technical School's Film Program. Her first short, "The Elevator" won first place in The Guthrie Center Film Festival during her freshman year. Her junior year she directed "The Life of Shoes," for which she received a Bronze Remi Award from The World Fest International Film Festival. By her senior year, she had received awards from six student festivals including two additional World Fest awards. At 18, she opened New Wave Pictures, a production company which produces corporate videos for companies like BP Oil and Nissan. During high school, Valeria was also involved in cheer leading, as the President of the Digital Film Club and Vice President of her Junior and Senior Class.
