Biography

Melissa Canup Mann is first and foremost a singer. This talent has allowed her to sing the National Anthem at an Atlanta Braves game in 1988 and has taken her to the stage in amateur productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Working. She has performed in several choral and show choir groups while a student at Clemson University. While there she was able to perform at Disney World with Clemson's show choir (the CU After 6 Singers) performing a solo of "When You Wish Upon a Star". She also performed at Carnegie Hall in 1992 as a member of Clemson's chamber singers. As a solo singer she has performed in various church choirs as well as contemporary Christian groups. She was the feature singer for The Clemson Swing Ensemble an independent swing band in 1992-94 and has specialized in wedding singing since the 1990s. Her greatest role to date has been a mother of two.
