Sandra Godsey

Sandra Godsey was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. Her mother Hilda Romero de Méndez is a jewelry designer and her father Jorge Méndez was a successful plastics manufacturing entrepreneur. 'Sandy' was the nickname given to Godsey by her three brothers, her sister and many of her family and friends. She was raised Catholic and attended Colegio Britanico, a private Spanish and English bilingual school in Bogotá. Her passion for acting was discovered at the age of 14 while participating in a school play. Afterwards, she attended acting and modeling courses which led to appearances in various television programs and modeling shows. Godsey studied Fashion Design at a university in Colombia for four years. When the opportunity arose for her to study outside of her home country she took advantage of this and she and her sister Martha left for Italy in 1990.
