Biography

Shannan Wilson, actress, author and songwriter, was born and raised in Houston, Texas with her two younger siblings. Her mother, Jennifer Dylan and father, Donald Wilson, are retired school teachers and her father is an Army veteran who was in the Vietnam War. Her parents divorced when she was 13. Shannan graduated from Scarborough High School in Houston, TX where she played varsity basketball and volleyball and then attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX, a little town located in the East Texas pines where she majored in Radio-TV Communications and Political Science. During her college years, she was a nighttime disc jockey playing grunge on the college radio station- KSAU 90.1. A few months after graduating from college, she packed up her Toyota Tercel and moved to Denver, Colorado "just because it sounded like a good place to live." As a true Gen Xer in Denver, she went to concerts at Red Rocks and took it easy - not utilizing her college degrees whatsoever,
