Biography

Kensley Keys is an American actor from Soso, MS. He attended grade school at Immaculate Conception school in Laurel, MS, and graduated from Northeast Jones High School. After high school, Kensley attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication and Journalism. After graduation, Kensley relocated to Jackson, MS after graduating and worked for WDBD FOX40 News and other news stations in the area as a photojournalist. After working in the news industry, Kensley worked other jobs before exploring the opportunity of working on films as a Production Assistant (Starve, Hotel Hell). Kensley moved back to Laurel in 2013 and returned to the news industry for a brief stint. In 2016, Kensley received his first opportunity to work in front of the camera in a featured role in the 2016 Civil War drama, Free State of Jones; directed by Gary Ross and starring Matthew McConaughey.
