Joey Thurmond

Joey was born in Dallas GA and has been a lifelong resident. Prior to graduating high school Joey began a career as a professional wrestler. After High School he wrestled nationwide as a part of Global Wrestling Federation and eventually on to World Championship Wrestling. That career would prove to be short lived when in 1993 during a match he suffered a broken back ending his wrestling career. He went on to become a very successful Atlanta area police officer receiving awards for Meritorious Service, Bravery, Life Saving, and a Special Chief's Award. He was also named an Honorary State Lieutenant Colonel to the Governor's Staff by Georgia Governor Nathan Deal. He has been a lifetime performer and has appeared in films like Remember the Titans and Dumb and Dumberer while still an active police officer.
