Biography

Erin Lee Carr is a New York based director, producer and writer. Her four-part documentary series "How To Fix a Drug Scandal" premiered on Netflix on April 1st, 2020, and reached #4 most watched program in the US through the platform's ranking system. Her latest documentaries, "At the Heart of Gold: Inside the USA Gymnastics Scandal" & "I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth vs. Michelle Carter", both for HBO, had their world premiere at the 2019 Tribeca & SXSW film festivals, respectively. "At The Heart of Gold" received a Critic's Pick from The New York Times. Some of her other directing credits include, "Mommy Dead and Dearest" (HBO, 2017), "Thought Crimes: The Case of The Cannibal Cop" (HBO, 2015) and "Drug Short" (Dirty Money on Netflix, 2018). Erin was named one of the "30 under 30" most influential people in Media by Forbes magazine in 2018. She is developing projects for Netflix and HBO.
