Corey Champagne was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga, where his desire to fulfill a career in Entertainment took shape. Named after character Corey Baker of the groundbreaking '60s series Julia. It seemed that from birth he was destined for the spotlight. His breakout came when he starred as Kadeuce Porter in the Emmy winning Netflix limited series Seven Seconds alongside Regina King and Russell Hornsby for which he received critical acclaim. His work earned him a Black Reel Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series/TV Movie. Corey has been featured in multiple Film and TV projects including The CW's supernatural drama The Originals in addition to various theater productions. Although naturally gifted, Corey credits his formal acting training to the renowned Alliance Theatre starting at age six.
