Biography

Liz Fields is a writer, producer, and journalist who has traveled to over 40 countries across six continents in pursuit of a good story. As a freelance documentary filmmaker, she has covered everything from immigration and race to politics and culture. Liz was part of an Emmy award-winning team that launched VICE News and VICE News on HBO, and documented countless stories across the US as a campaign embed during the 2016 presidential elections. She won a 2017 Gracie award for her coverage on guns and race, and a 2016 GLAAD nomination for her reporting on transgender issues. Most recently, Liz produced a Netflix original docu-series on illicit drugs around the globe. She has written a screenplay based on her experiences as a reporter and is working on her second scripted feature.
