Neardey Trinh, born in Cambodia in 1978 during the war and came to the US at the age of 2 as a refugee. She grew up in Fairfax, VA (the suburbs outside of DC) and a US Navy Veteran who served 9 years in the military. The experience deeply colored her understanding of world politics which led her to pursue a BA in Political Science, from George Mason University. In Her academic studies propelled her desire to tell stories of social and political significance. In 2012, Neardey partnered with Caylee So, Director/Writer/Producer and established Innovision Pictures, an independent production company to produce and tell inspiring stories together. In 2012, Neardey signed on as a producer for the award winning short film titled "Paulina," directed by Caylee So. She completed her first narrative feature film, In the life of Music, Starring Ellen Wong (Scotts Pilgrim vs. the World, The Circle, Netflix series GLOW) in 2018 which premiere at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival as the Centerpiece film in May 2018. In the Life of Music also collected 7 awards in its festival run world wide, to include Thailand, India, China, Poland, and Italy to include several Best Pictures and Audience Choice awards. She is currently in development of several other film projects.
