Biography

Steven D Mairano born on August 22, 1949 in Brooklyn New York. His Grandfather was a piano player for silent film theater's in Down Town Manhattan in the early 1900s. Steven started his career in Rock and Roll in the late 60s and early 70s working with concert promoter Howard Stein at Madison Square Garden, The Fillmore East and many other venues. Finally landing in Ft Lauderdale in 1974. Still working in live performances and T.V., Steven eventually moved to Jupiter FL where he attended The Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Theatre. It was there that Burt Reynolds recognized Steven's writing ability and compared him to a modern day Arthur Miller. Reynolds offered to direct Steven in his short film Penance which led him to write many other works for the institute. Steven continues to Write and Act in Independent films in Florida. His new comedy film HOME STRETCH is in production.
