Biography

Jay Dee Witney (born John Doyle Witney) in Los Angeles, the only child of director William Witney and actress Maxine Doyle. Was most active in the motion picture & television business from 1965 to 1972 with work ranging from bit parts to minor stunts and background acting on Room 222, The Lucy Show, Gomer Pyle USMC, Mission: Impossible, Family Affair, Matlock, Dragnet, The Fugitive, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Mod Squad, The Virginian, The Streets of San Francisco, Hondo, Laredo, Bonanza, Daniel Boone, The Bill Cosby Show, Love American Style and The Wild Wild West. SAG and SEG member since 1968. After a multi-faceted career outside the industry, which included a career as firefighter captain, fire marshal, medic and successful business owner, he has returned to acting, screenwriting, photography, videography editing and publishing.
