Biography

Britt Michaelian wrote her first feature screenplay at the age of 16, at which time she promptly lost it (before the days of laptops and flash drives) and took it as a sign to study acting at the University of Southern California. She appeared in a handful of music videos, commercials and independent films before discovering a love of fashion, costume design and painting at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Upon graduation, Britt moved to San Francisco and attended Notre Dame de Namur University to earn a double Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy. In 2006, after working in the pediatric unit of a San Francisco hospital, she wrote, directed and produced Care for Kids: The Essential Guide to Preparing Caregivers, an award winning instructional DVD for emergency preparedness.
