Biography

Quincy Evans Okechukwu Ndekwe was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is the second of four children. His mother, Debra, is a secretary from Minnesota and his father, Fintan, is a pharmacist from Nigeria. Upon high school graduation he attended Rochester Community College with the intent to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. While attending college he took a theater class and was pushed into auditioning for a role in an upcoming production. He was offered a role but denied it to keep his focus on his studies. However, the theater teacher saw his potential and encouraged him to give acting more thought. So he did and a few months later he booked his first on-stage role which launched his acting career. During his first show run, he was approached and asked to audition as a young soldier in the play "Last of the Boys" by Steven Dietz at the Rochester repertory theatre downtown, which he also booked.
