Biography

Born in London, England in 1972, Alexander Hall started writing and directing short films at the age of thirteen. In 1989, Hall wrote, co-directed and co-produced 'Brothers In Arms', an ambitious science-fiction short film which was seen and acclaimed by 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' Producer, Robert Watts. On the back of 'Brothers In Arms', Watts recommended Hall to the office of Producer, Frank Marshall, at Universal Studios in Hollywood. This led to Hall landing a Production Assistant's job at Steven Spielberg's production company, 'Amblin Entertainment', in the summer of 1991. While at Amblin, Hall co-wrote, co-produced and directed a new short film, a fairy-tale adventure titled, 'The Magic Bag'. With help from 'Jurassic Park' Producer, Gerald R. Molen, Hall and his producers, Ricci Rukavina and Christopher Mack, obtained permission to film 'The Magic Bag' on the Universal Studios' back-lot.
