Anil Bajaj

Anil P. Bajaj was born in Bombay, India to Bindoo and Prabhu Bajaj, from Tamil Nadu and Shikarpur, Pakistan, respectively. Hailing from a middle-class family, his parents encouraged him to be a doctor or engineer; but by 8 years of age, he was inspired by a man sitting behind a camera directing actors on camera, making movie magic. Bajaj attended the Film and Television Institute of India where he studied both directing and acting, including the Stanislavsky Method and Roshan Taneja School of Acting. He then worked for 7 years as an assistant with various accomplished directors all over India. In 1990, he embarked on his journey to America. Unable to pursue his dream of filmmaking in the beginning, he started various businesses in New Orleans, Louisiana, until one day Katrina hit, and his businesses were looted. He lost everything. This gave him the inspiration to finally pursue his true passion. He won roles in several films and in 2012, wrote his first film: The Last Fare. These w
