Biography

Rose Elizabeth Metcalf was born in Dorchester, England on 23rd July, 1988 to Carolyn Elizabeth and Philip George Metcalf. Rose started dancing as soon as she could walk and began her performing career at the age of six, when she appeared in The Browning Version. Rose began professional pantomimes in Bournemouth and Poole at the age of eight. Rose won a full scholarship to London Studio Centre (2008-2011) where she gained a First Class B.A. Honors in Theatre-Dance. In August 2011, Rose signed on to perform on the Costa Concordia cruise ship as a dancer which sailed around the Mediterranean. On Friday 13th January 2012, the Costa Concordia ran aground off the Isola del Giglio. Rose coordinated much of the rescue operation, saving hundreds of lives and became the last survivor stranded on the ship.
