Companion Made Me Question Everything

Companion is overrated. With a 94% critics score and 89% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, I realize my opinion for this movie is in the minority. Peliplat keeps it a bit more real, rating the movie a 7.4, but even that seems too high. I'm surprised to see such high praise and the audience flocking to the theatre, despite the movie having a first-time director and a cast made up of relative newco

The perfect companion: The perfect date for many men is a doll like Iris.

Even if it's hard to accept it, it's the truth and two of the movies that are being released these days embarrass us and leave us in evidence showing how many men are and what we like and look for in a date or relationship. 'Anora' and 'The Perfect Companion' bring to the table how pathetic villains some of us men lcan be who think we are harmless, innocent dove. Most of the time it's like there's

Ishika Banerjee: Humans are programmed to love too in some ways. If we don't raise them properly and teach them about empathy and consequences they can grow up heartless or unable to process feelings. Ai loves as much as we let them, it's a human creation so it's human as we are in my opinion.

COMPANION: The ultimate twist of the "Final Girl"?

When I think of women representing artificial intelligence (in any way), the two women who star in Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049 immediately come to mind. Surely as I keep on writing I’ll remember some other examples. However, with their inevitable contrasts and pseudo-human nuances developed throughout the two films, they encapsulate the notion we have of human and (possibly) digital conscio

Lucas.: Why should human misery be criticized? Does exposing people's misery and telling them to change make them feel seen or isolated? If they are miserable, do they want to be seen? Shouldn't it be sympathized rather than criticized? Reading this immediately after reading your Anora vent article is a real trip. Why should Iris get the right to be free, happy and whatever she wants and Ani doesn't?

Let's smile: There's horror in all its splendor

There are only a few horror sequels that can really elevate the original idea of the first film and take it to new heights without resorting to stupidly grandiloquent or illogical stuff. As for Smile, from the very beginning, we could sense a type of instant cult success: a demonic being drives people crazy by making them believe others are watching and twistedly smiling at them all the time, begi
