Biography

Guyviaud Joseph (pronounced "giv-e-odd") is a first-generation Haitian-American, born and raised in Linden, New Jersey. The middle child among several brothers, he attended Penn State University and graduated with a Degree in Business/Marketing. During his undergraduate years, he trained with the late theatrical director Dick Caram, studying The Suzuki Method. He also starred in several theatrical productions, including the role of Troy in "Fences," written by August Wilson. After college, he worked at CBS News as an Account Executive for several years, eventually leaving his position to pursue his passion as an actor. Guyviaud went on to train with notable acting coaches in the industry, he has worked with renowned acting coaches Lesly Kahn, Bob Krawkower and Susan Batson, who have all trained Award-winning actors.
