Janet Dyer

Janet Dyer is a fourth generation San Franciscan She has 2 grown children Liz and Eric who both live in San Francisco. Janet grew up in Marin county and Petaluma CA. where she studied drama and performed in junior high and high school plays. She danced the twist and the stroll in American Graffiti, got a close up and was hooked. While attending Santa Rosa Junior College she was a straight A student in theater arts and was accepted in UCLA's drama department but was talked out of the major she loved by a counselor who convinced her that Drama was a fluff degree and that she would go nowhere. It was the 1970's so she changed majors to Recreational Therapy. Janet had excelled at her job as a recreational therapist assistant at Santa Rosa Junior College, so she transferred to UCSB to major in Recreational Therapy. While attending UCSB she worked her way through school at the Santa Barbara Winery. In 1976 and she convinced her boss to allow her to sell wine for a day in Santa Maria. She was
