Biography

Vladimir Politov was born on December 6, 1970 in the village Batagai, Yakutsk (Sakha) republic of the USSR. From an early age during his study of music he showed great promise, notably picking up both the guitar and clarinet quickly and excelling greatly in both instruments. In 1987 he entered the Riga Institute of Civil Aviation, but upon three years of dedication there Vladimir found that he was drawn back to the arts and moved to Moscow where he beginning to work on various commercial projects. In 1990, after cruel auditions, Vladimir successfully won the spot of bass player in the wildly popular boy band "Na-Nax". He became famous in 1991 with the song "Faina", and the following hit music video for the same song earned him the title of sex symbol of Russia for many years.
