Biography

Michael Zhang is a Chinese American actor from Los Angeles, California. Michael and his younger brother Matthew Zhang first gained notice for his stand-up comedy, having performed material he wrote at the young age of 12 at the world famous Hollywood Improv, leading to a number of dramatic roles in festival short films and a continuing part as a panelist on the Internet series "Fresh Perspectives" (2011) with future SNL cast member Beck Bennett. A highlight of his child acting career would be when casting directors Sarah Finn and Randi Hiller cast him for a small supporting role in Marvel's The Avengers (2012) He currently works as a freelance Game Capture Artist and Assistant Editor for the Overwatch League, a global city based esports league. There, Michael is passionate about telling cinematic stories with Asian representation, leveraging his Film Production education from Loyola Marymount University's School of Film and Television to bring his vision to the small screen.
