Biography

Miles Crawford was born in Boston, to Michael Crawford, painter and New Yorker cartoonist; and Margaret Crawford, a horticulturist. His sister, Farley Crawford is a production designer and illustrator. Miles played drums in bands and acted in theatrical productions throughout adolescence. Completing a year of undergrad at CalArts, Miles graduated with awards from Musicians Institute. He began filmmaking, initiated by his professional career in music and theatre: performing Off-Broadway and on international tours in STOMP, and drumming alongside Eminem, Ringo Starr, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Art Garfunkel, Darwin Deez, Terrence Mann, and Bronagh Gallagher. He is married to Reshma Gajjar. They live in Los Angeles.
