Jase (Jason Whitaker) is an American actor, writer, producer, and DJ. Born in Washington, DC, and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland, he is of Nigerian, English and Scandinavian descent. Classically trained in jazz and classical piano, Jase began performing at age 12, and got his first paid professional job as a ballet dancer in American Ballet Theater's "Giselle" directly after finishing high school. Jase also spent his summers performing in professional summer dinner theater shows where he was able to use his dance prowess to earn dancing and singing roles in musicals like "42nd Street" and "Hello, Dolly". Later, Jase attended George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, where he balanced a full schedule of classes, performances and a job as a used car salesmen while taking graduate level screenwriting and history courses as an underclassman.
