Kati Rausch

Kati Rausch is a German actress. Her grandparents are of Russian-Polish descent. She grew up in a VW bus traveling through Europe, because her parents were hippies. Her father was a guitarist, who became a teacher in the later years. She spent the main part of her childhood in Paris and in different small cities in Northern Germany. Due to this past she is fluent in German, English, Finnish, Danish and French. Because of her family background she has also basic knowledge of Russian. Kati Rausch studied Film Science and Theology at "Carl von Ossietzky" University Oldenburg, Germany, and wrote her thesis about Lars von Trier. After graduating from a drama school in Cologne, she appeared as a lead on some short films and music videos, before she landed her first leading roles in major productions, and got her own prime time show on National TV in Finland. Today Kati Rausch lives and works in Los Angeles, California, and in Helsinki, Finland.
