Biography
From his debut role in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises," to portraying the true story of a young Miami-based artist killed by police, Puerto Rican-American actor Tyler Dean Flores has proved that from blockbuster hits to gritty indie darlings, he can do it all. This year, Tyler will star as Israel "Reefa" Hernandez in Vertical Entertainment's upcoming drama "Reefa." Inspired by a true story, the film follows the 18-year-old Colombian immigrant and artist during his last summer in Miami, before tragically being murdered by Miami Beach cops in 2013. His infamous story left the local community outraged, and the country reeling from another case of police brutality. The film is set to release in theaters and digital on Friday, April 16, 2021 and streaming on HBO Max in the coming months.
