Lyrica Okano

Lyrica Okano was born November 9, 1994, and she is best known for her starring role as Nico Minoru in the Hulu series Marvel's Runaways. From teen drama icons Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (The O.C. / Gossip Girl), Marvel's Runaways followed a group of diverse teenagers who discovered their parents were all part of a supervillain group called the Pride. They then run away from home and try to find a way to escape their parents, all while dealing with their own emerging powers, hormones, and personal issues. As the female lead of the series, Lyrica played an integral part in the shift for more inclusion of Asian Americans and women of color in television and film for portraying one of the first LGBTQ Asian female superheroes for the Marvel Universe.
