Biography

Caroline Strong was born in Liverpool, England in 1963, one of seven children to Capt. Terence Strong RA (retired) and Jeanne Strong, Matron of Garston Hospital. She was educated at Notre Dame Prep School and later Notre Dame, High School Woolton and her love of acting was nurtured in after school classes at The Mckee School of Dance and Drama, Allerton. Later she gained a BA Joint Hons' Degree in English Literature and Drama (2:1) from the University of London and then went on to take a Diploma in Acting at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in Kensington, London. She has enjoyed a successful career as a character actress in Television, Theatre and Radio for over thirty five years. Regular roles have included Margaret in the ITV series Island at War, Margaret-Ann in the BBC comedy series Thin Ice, Mel Doland in the YTV Soap Emmerdale and DC Cathy Cooper in Prime Suspect.
