Biography

Stephen Marney is a British broadcaster, journalist with a demonstrably strong background in international media and broadcast business development. In 1988, Stephen was engaged as an integral part of the start-up team for SKY News, where he was a presenter/anchor and senior news producer. He was presenting on-air during notable events such as the tragic sinking of the Marchioness Vessel in the River Thames and on the day the Berlin Wall finally came down, reuniting Germany. From SKY News, in 1991, he became the architect for the design and launch the word's first Pan-European, Pan-Arab multi-satellite News channel in Arabic, MBC (Middle East Broadcasting Centre), broadcasting from London. Some years later he was engaged once more by MBC to launch the Middle East's first English language news operation, MBC2. After consulting to BBC World for foreign language operations - and to ITN for special news programmes in London in the 1990's, Stephen became Business Development Director for RE
