Biography

Kathryn O'Reilly is an English television, film and theatre actress. Born and raised in Surrey with Irish and East End London heritage. Her training includes the Brit school and LAMDA. Kathryn's range of roles include Intelligence Officer Captain Sands in Close Quarters at Sheffield Crucible directed by Kate Wasserberg, the savage and foul mouthed convict Liz Morden in Timberlake Wertenbaker's Our Country's Good "Kathryn O'Reilly is hugely impressive as the flinty thief who ultimately saves her neck by discovering her voice" Michael Billington The Guardian, to Queen Jocasta in Oedipus "it was as if another person had taken over Kathryn O'Reilly's body as she became the most regal of Jocastas" Gerry Parker Bristol Evening Post. As a playwright Kathryn's debut play Screwed premiered at Theatre503, her second play Poisoned Polluted ran at historic Old Red Lion in London, both play texts are published by Nick Hern Books.
