Biography

Edward Lobo began making people laugh not long after he learned to talk, and he's been doing it ever since. Having come from a family of artists (his mother, an actress; his father and grandfather, both professional musicians), Ed spent his youth performing in shows at Disneyland and in local musical theater, where he quickly realized comedy would truly be his calling card. "When you are cast as the gruff, grizzled Sgt. Krupke in "West Side Story" and afterward everybody says you were the funniest thing in the show? You might as well give in to it!" Stand-up comedy never crossed his mind, until early 2001 when he went to an open mic night at Martini Blues in Huntington Beach on a dare. He rocked the house and never looked back. Since then, he's been taking the stage at comedy clubs all over southern California, working alongside some of the heaviest hitters in the business. In addition, he is a sought after host, often presiding over local pageant competitions with the Miss America org
